Acupuncturist & Coach
Jo Ridgway – Restoring Balance, Reconnecting Within
Gentle, effective acupuncture for women navigating fertility, hormones, pain, stress, and emotional overwhelm.
I offer a calm and nurturing space for women to restore their physical health and reconnect to their bodies. Treatments are tailored, intuitive, and rooted in over 16 years of clinical experience.
I use acupuncture to support women through all stages of life—from menstrual health and fertility to pregnancy, perimenopause, and beyond.
Each treatment is deeply tailored to you, whether you’re seeking relief from physical symptoms like hormonal imbalance, fatigue, anxiety or insomnia—or longing for a moment of stillness in a busy, demanding life.
Acupuncture works gently yet powerfully to regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and restore the body’s natural capacity to heal.
Over the years, I’ve come to see how much our physical health is shaped by our inner landscape. That’s why I also draw on the tools of maturation coaching to gently support emotional healing when appropriate, helping you release old stories and reconnect with who you are beneath the noise.
At the heart of my practice is presence. A calm, grounded space to exhale and be met with care.
A Journey That Is Grounded And Based in Traditional Wisdom
My treatments are both practical and intuitive—grounded in traditional wisdom, shaped by years of experience, and always guided by the individual sitting in front of me. Whether you’re navigating fertility challenges, burnout, or a new life chapter, I’m here to support you

It’s A Family Thing
My love of Chinese medicine was inspired by my uncle, one of the first Western acupuncturists in the 1970s. His passion was infectious—he saw himself as a detective, piecing together each patient’s story to uncover the root cause of their symptoms. That approach resonated deeply with me, even as a child.
I spent ten years working in two busy London clinics, supporting women through every stage of life—from fertility and pregnancy to postnatal recovery and the transition through perimenopause and menopause.
My practice grew alongside my own family, and after our third son was born, it felt like the right time to leave the city and follow our dream of raising free-range children in the Devon countryside.
